the alpha dog theory?

I have a dog book that teaches the theory of alpha dog and another that says the thing is exceeded Alpha Dog and only training as positive clicker training should be used in a way that is fair? or are they both right?

It depends that considers the book as “alpha dog.” Most books and training methods are based on the traditional theory Alpha Dog … suggesting roles alpha scruffing, shaking, screaming, and other aversive / physical punishment as discipline. It is usually justified by saying that it the kind of discipline one would use alpha wolf in the pack. What these books do not mention is that they are based on observations of packs wolf captive foreigners, and such behaviors as alpha roles are not typical of a pack of wild wolves normal. The most renowned coaches today realize that a rolling “alpha” and other “training” not only methods do not work and damage the dog-human bond in the process, but they are a good way to get bitten. Keep in mind that clicker training is not the only positive method of training. Working methods positive and better and they are nothing new, they have been around for years. Punishment in training, the dog slowly learning that everything is not what the manager is looking for them is a pop on the collar of the training. This means that the manager has spent much time searching and waiting the dog to make a mistake and say the dog that this behavior is not what they want. It is much easier and more motivating to say to a dog (or person) when they have done something right, rather than punish them whenever they do something wrong. Take shelter for example. Heel is a very net position and there are many bad positions. It is much easier to say the dog has a position that is good (giving a reward of some kind each Once the dog is in that position and not rewarding the wrong positions) than to spend much time telling the dog that position and that position and this position while others are false (by popping them with the choke collar) until the dog to understand what the correct position. The ten Recent years have seen a huge increase in the number of owners and trainers using positive methods, because they both work better than punishment oldest and most violent based methods. Positive methods are not just pot-for-a-contract basis either. Praise and other rewards (like getting to hunt rabbits darn if it is safe for the dog to do so) are equally effective as food treats and if used correctly can cause a dog who will not consider other distractions, because chances are pretty darn good that Mom (or DAD) has something even better. And methods positive does not mean you’re not a leader either. They simply mean that you are a leader in controlling the resources that the dog access to politics rather than by the overwhelming physical or punishing the dog. I use positive methods and my dogs are consequences for ignore me or do not follow orders quickly, but I did not hit them or smother them to let them know they made the wrong choice.
