dog training attention
How do I get the attention of my dog for training?

My dog a 10 week old Golden Retriever puppy. It is very, very intelligent. However, when it comes to training, she will give her attention for about 3 times and then fled back to his favorite place the cooler in the garden and sit there and not move until it sees a bouncing ball or walking someone or something that attracts his attention. Even leaving the smell of the treat and let him lick it will not make the move! I do not know what to do! I after him! However, I can not his attention by doing so. Please help! MAIN emergency here!

1st of all, be patient with her. It is just a puppy, a Just over two months. 2nd of all, if not motivated by treats, then use the ball or whatever she likes. Motivators and rewards does it should not always be food. It can be anything that the dog loves! And 3rd, are you his training under the hot sun? If yes, then do not. Train it as a shadow. No dog likes to be in the hot sun for so long, especially not a Golden Retriever. If she likes the shaded area, then train him there. To get her attention, show him the ball. Call his name clearly and keep the ball very close to your face. When she looks up at her, praise and Reward her by throwing the ball for it to look. Do it for a few more times Then give him a break. Make sure it always looks when you call her name. Remember to praise and reward immediately she is right. If you wait 1 or 2 seconds too, the dog has already forgotten what it did. Later, try to keep the ball behind your back and call his name. When she looks in her eyes, praise & reward. Now, you do not want her touching her eyes just for you. You want it you really look at least for a second term. Once it knows what do when you call his name, slowly increase the duration. Do you watch him for 2 then 3 then 4 seconds long. Just make sure you do not rush her or you get frustrated and will get confused about what you want it to do. Give her 1 weeks to learn. Once she goes with her, start to call his name when she walks or chewing on his bones or anything else. When she looks up at you, praise her. You can also do puppy recalls calling his name and say "come!" a very enthusiastic manner. You can tease her with the ball to make it come to you. Always remember be patient and consistent. If you do wrong, you confuse your dog, your dog will be tired, you'll get frustrated and it will take many time for her to learn. Continue to practice this several times a day, every day and it should always be fun. Make sure there is always a big reward it after every training session. Hope I helped.
