Stop Barking Dog – Collars

ultrasonic collars can be used to stop the barking of dogs. There is some debate as to whether if ultrasonic collars are not cruel. The problem is we humans can not hear ultrasound so it is difficult to make a call on whether too hard, even painful for a dog. However, they all work on the idea that a loud sound that will surprise and cut off a dog barking.

Humans can not hear this, but dogs can it's a boring, shrill sound that is triggered whenever the dog barks.
For employees the sound is highlighted by the dog wearing the collar; cases, however, there were these being set off by the barking of dogs from others, or even other loud noises.

For dogs that do not belong to you, there are devices that generate ultrasonic noise if a dog barks in the range. Most Popular are "Bark Free", although they all work about the same principle have a range between 20-70 feet. They are mounted outside as close as possible and ideally in the line of sight of the dog barking. When the dog barks, the device emits a signal which acts as a distraction that startles the dog to stop barking.

Sonic collars operate on the same principle as ultrasound, but this sound can be heard by humans. You hope the dog stops barking or you need 2 sources of noise.

Citronella Dog Collar
Citronella-spray collar works on the principle that a slight unpleasant odor may stop barking. Most of us are familiar with citronella candles, mosquito repellent. Citronella is a natural oil with a citrus smell that is very pleasant for us, but uncomfortable for the dog (but not inhumane). I'm not sure I'd like a jet of citronella closely. Dogs may understand … although some go back to barking when it is removed. To be Effective action must be consistent and remove the collar is not compatible. These can also be enhanced by the other dogs … a tad it seems unfair and confusing. It seems a reasonable step to try if you're short of ideas and training did not work.

Pinch Collars

Shock Collars
Shock collars arte punishment pure and simple, they give an electric shock whenever the dog barks. Some models can adjust the tension. They will eventually stop barking, but do not get to the cause of the barking and the impact is unlikely to be understood by the dog. Some trainers believe that the behavior of these causes more aggressive the dog is frustrated and angry fear. I hesitate before using these.
