What should I do with my dog * before * we go to obedience classes for dog she pays more attention?

We have a 7 month beagle / Coonhound mix and go to courses for beginners training. The trainer said that we should exercise a lot before going to class. We do not tire too well … but will try next week …. see if it helps. Are there any other suggestions besides Tire the dog? Thank you

The exercise seems to be the best idea. If your class uses food, you may want to put in a small and fast. I do not know how you feed your dog, but having her be a little hungry. In other words, if you release the food, looking for food a few hours earlier.
