although I have one month collie 16 and for the way past Or 14 months we have been training her the basics especially the reminder. im usually the one who trains him in the garden and my family just told him to come see how shes done. The only thing is when shes in trouble, they tell him to come give her a row. I think that's why its been so difficult for me to train his recall. She is great with me on walks and garden. I did let go where there are no cars out loud … it made a great and acceptable, but I still feel theres a bit more training to do. I know you're not supposed to use the word come when they are difficulty or are put bck on cable, because they think that word means its bad … What should I do if im training to do something but my family make it harder for me to train her?
Ah, the hardest part of training any dog, get others to do the same thing you. It's so hard not to cause the dog to be confused and they (other people) can never understand why the dog is so stupid. A cumulative newspaper and smack your family on the family nose bad. Sorry I know it does not help. I had the same problem with my family, everything you can do is try and highlight the importance of using the same commands for the same reasons, perhaps work with them and one dog one so they can maybe see where you're from when you ask them not to call the dog to the sentence.
