How to train a puppy?
I have a mini dachshund and she is a few months old. I want to start training if she did not need to be or acts as she gets older. Do you have any tips to train a dog like her?
Yes, you need a train but with positive reinforcement. Do not use shock / electronic collars for any reason! Shock / electronic collars definitely DON "T fall positive reinforcement. Positive reinforcement is the best way to train ALL dogs without force. You'll need a few little treats, (not sweet deals because it take more of her to eat) a collar and leash. Here are the commands of the basic training that every dog should know. Look at me, sitting, and Stay Down. I'll tell you how you teach your doxen all four. I hope not to bore you with describing all orders! doxen You should always have a collar and leash while you are training it. The "Watch Me" command is very important. This teaches your dog to make eye contact and focus all his attention on you. Start with your dog sitting at your left. Have a few surprises ready in your hand. Show your doxen the process and make the process up under your chin and say "Watch me Fluffy. When it comes to eye contact with you to provide treatment and say "Good Girl". Continue like this until she learned the idea. When you feel like she has to increase the time it is necessary to maintain visual with you. Start again saying "Watch me Fluffy," but she keeps her eye contact with you a little longer. Say "Good Watch" her to tell him she did the right thing you look longer. Put Fluffy in a sit and then say "Stay" by walking slowly few steps. Do not drop the leash while you do this. That will come later. Say "Good stay" to tell him she has reason to stay locally and then return to him, asking him to make eye contact with you, then praise and release her. If she breaks the sit, just calmly but firmly say "no" and replace the same exact spot that you had in. Try the exercise again. If you want to get angry or frustrated with your dog, rather than stopping the training session. So you teach Fluffy command down. First put in a seat, then kneels on the floor beside him with a treat. Show him the treatment and then (while holding) place on the ground. Fluffy should lower legs prior to the ground to get the deal. If it does not lie completely down yet pull the treat away from her if she would lie down all the way to obtain. Dachshunds in particular need of additional space to lie down because there bodies are so long! Say "Down" when it is almost set. Do not worry if she has slept only down part of it! Give him a treat and for trying to get almost to the whole way. The more you do the "descent" of the exercise, the more we understand what it has to do. WARNING! Dachshund and dog with long bodies are more at risk of spinal injuries! Never push on his back trying to get her whole descent, for any training exercise! I hope I helped!
