Sled dog training that do not pull on the harness?
Title sums it up. My dog pulls fortunately only on his collar, but refuses draw with his harness. I am using the harness ManMat Distance: http://www.howlingdogalaska.com/supplies.html http://www.ne-outfitters.com/ecommerce/product.php?vuid=102 The harness above is designed to shoot. But there is another harness sold in pet shops with the same basic structure, and is designed as a sort of necklace-extension and keep small dogs off the leash. This breed comes from the extreme north of Norway and has been the source for elk hunting. It is 2 ½ years.
Lets change this a bit. Your dog pulls on the collar, but the sled dogs in harness LEAN. So with this information, see if you ask your dog to pull on the harness or lean into it. The second thing to do is make sure that your dog has no injuries or friction hitch. If your dog has an old injury (maybe you never knew he had) that will harness the harm imposed. On the other hand, your dog can really hurt himself if he continues to shoot with the necklace.
