Information dog breeds – Is it the case of dog breed?

Does Matter breed of dog?

It is a question controversial. There are some who believe quite strongly that certain breeds have traits of innate aggression that makes them more likely to inflict damage to human beings than other races. Critics of the state of the view that the propensity of a dog aggressive behavior is dictated mainly by the dog's owner or manager and how this dog has been trained and supported early in his life.

On the one hand, are certain breeds that seem to have a higher incident of harm on people, including children. According to Merritt Clifton, editor of the journal popular publication of animals, breeds of pit bull terriers, Rottweilers, Presa Canarios and their mixes accounted for 74 percent of attacks reported between 1982 2005. Sixty-eight percent of these attacks were children. Following these races, the next group that represents the biggest event of attacks included German shepherds, chows and Akitas. But the question remains whether these breeds have been responsible because of an innate characteristic associated with the animal, either because they were more likely to be maintained and trained by their owners to act aggressively.

Legislation race specific: the laws prohibiting aka Race

A hot topic these days is the issue of race specific legislation, or sometimes called "Laws prohibiting race." There are cities in different states that have adopted specific legislation against certain breeds. They include cities in the states of California, Colorado and Ohio. In Washington, the city of Yakima has adopted an ordinance that completely prohibits the ownership of pit bulls and mixtures thereof, Wolf-hybrids, and others. I am also aware that the city of Seattle has discussed the matter informally, but the council has so far refused to officially address the topic because of the lack of consensus among experts and / or board members.

In 1987, the city of Yakima has adopted an ordinance prohibiting dogs known to be pit bulls, and specifically included those races that included the bull terrier, American pit bull terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, and these dogs with a variety pit bull identifiable as part of their breeding. New order was in response to three attacks by vicious dogs pit bull on the unsuspecting citizens in Yakima. Our Washington State Supreme Court ultimately upheld this order in accordance with the Constitution, despite the effect of the law prohibiting these dogs also pit bull is considered safe.
