It is a question controversial. There are some who believe quite strongly that certain breeds have traits of innate aggression that makes them more likely to inflict damage to human beings than other races. Critics of the state of the view that the propensity of a dog aggressive behavior is dictated mainly by the dog's owner or manager and how this dog has been trained and supported early in his life.
On the one hand, are certain breeds that seem to have a higher incident of harm on people, including children. In 1987, the city of Yakima has adopted an ordinance prohibiting dogs known to be pit bulls, and specifically included those races that included the bull terrier, American pit bull terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, and these dogs with a variety pit bull identifiable as part of their breeding. New order was in response to three attacks by vicious dogs pit bull on the unsuspecting citizens in Yakima.
