Which transmitter and receivers can I buy to control 4 different servos simple?

I have 4 launchers Bird for dog training. All have the servo / Electronics built in. They are made to buy a system from $ 700 dogtra or tri-mail, but I know I can do for much less with another transmitter and receiver. Im sure it is very simple because the servo is activated only the release mechanism. I need a system running on battery that can be controlled to a maximum distance of about 700 feet. What should I buy and is it easy to connect to such a simple servo?

I would go to a hobby shop. They have two-way radios that you can use. You should have specifications the release mechanism.
